Journal of Aesthetics and Protest

The Journal of Aesthetics and Protest, Issue #7, is available! The entire issue is devoted to post-money, and there is a conversation between me and Hynden Walch.

Hi Asiya,
I'm sorry I haven't replied to you. I just found your old email. Just been swamped with lemon calls, baby daze, and all of life's hustles and bustles. Sort of tired lately.

I still love your blog. Admire your efforts and contributions to urban fruit gleaning. I shall be in touch very soon! Happiest Harvesting Always, Anna, The Lemon Lady

What a great conversation that was captured for us to be a part of! I'm a "Gen-X"er who grew up in a small, rural town about 40 minutes east of Oakland. Some of my fondest memories are of playing in the neighborhood or farms/orchards as a kid, and climbing a tree for fruit when we were hungry for a snack. Your vision for a renewed community is what many of us probably yearn for, unknowingly.
